About InsideLine BMX

InsideLine BMX is a relaunch of a legacy Northwest racing team with roots going back to the 1980s. We are built on a foundation of performance, discipline, and sportsmanship — no drama, just racing.

Our Values

  • Team First — We win and lose together.
  • Discipline — Consistent effort on and off the track.
  • Sportsmanship — Respect for competitors, officials, and the sport.
  • Drama-Free — We let our riding do the talking.

The Program

InsideLine BMX is structured as an LLC with a long-term vision to operate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a for-profit subsidiary — allowing merchandise revenue and sponsorships to directly fund team activities and athlete development.  All funds raised by the InsideLine BMX LLC go directly to support the team.

InsideLine BMX supports two separate teams; National and Factory Teams.  Membership on either team is entirely up to the sole discretion of the LLC equity partners and the current Team Manager.  Membership is not based solely on racing success, but is a combination of personality, motivation, ethics, fit with team culture, work ethic of the rider and rider goals.   All riders must complete an application form and an interview with the Team Manager before being considered for either team. Agreements between the team and the rider / parent(s) are required for all new and renewing team members.

The National Team is structured for advanced intermediate and expert level riders only.  We do not offer a program for novices at this time.  National Team riders receive their first kit (pants, jersey, gloves, plates) at no charge and may purchase other iL branded equipment at iL cost.  Co-sponsors offer discounts to National Team riders. Rider expectations for race attendance and iL / co-sponsor promotion will be communicated during the interview process and part of the rider agreement.

The Factory Team is structured for nationally ranked experts only.  This means you must regularly place on the podium at USABMX and CANADABMX national events.  Factory riders must race a minimum number of National Events including ROC and GRANDS each year and maintain either a US or Canadian NAG ranking.  Our factory program includes free kits, deep discounts from our co-sponsors on gear, and other financial benefits based on the rider's qualifications.  All factory riders are required to execute a formal contract before joining the team.

The iL Teams are managed and coached by Clay Anselmo who raced as a BMX pro in the 80's and 90's.  His bike racing career now spans nearly 5 decades and includes Criteriums, Road Racing, Mountain Bikes and Cyclocross.  Each team rider is eligible to receive free training and coaching from Clay or may request help, coaching, training from other senior members of the team.  We also maintain a strong relationship with several professional coaches including Jeff Upshaw (Driven Cycling Academy) and Tory Nyhaug.
